PRODUCTION OF RADIATOR FOR SUPERCHARGER

PURPOSE:To produce a radiator for a supercharger without deterioration of accuracy and injury in assembling of said radiator by subjecting parts which do not hinder assembly to in-furnace brazing ten bending and fixing the side edges of the joint parts of a tank with a steam feed bypass device and core in the state of embracing each other. CONSTITUTION:The core A and lower tank B of the radiator for the supercharger are subjected to in-furnace brazing. The overhang 11 at the joint part of the upper tank 12 assembled preliminarily with the steam feed bypass device B is thereafter fitted into a U-groove 9 at the joint part of the core A via a gasket 23 and is bent and fixed thereto so as to embrace a lug part 10. The injury of the members susceptible to the thermal strain and heat of the device B and oil seals, etc. is eliminated and the bypass device is operated with good accuracy.
