PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration of fuel expenses and operability by inputting outputs from constant speed running decision means, maximum speed step decision means and maximum speed step prohibit means to shift hold means for holding speed change step select means. CONSTITUTION:Outputs from constant speed running decision means 4, maximum speed step decision means 5 and maximum speed step prohibit means are input to shift hold means 7. When the constant speed running device is operated, and a car is running at the maximum speed step, if a prohibit signal from the maximum speed step prohibit means 6 is input, used is a speed change step selected by speed change step select means 3. If a prohibit signal is not input, the maximum speed step is selected and kept. Thus, even if a constant speed running control condition is taken just after kick-down, the car runs at a speed change step according to a car velocity to prevent deterioration of fuel expenses and operability. |
