PURPOSE:To obtain a biosensor having high detecting sensitivity, by providing an acting electrode, to which a physiological active material is fixed, and its counter electrode, and providing a filter for removing a measurement obstrucing material between both electrodes. CONSTITUTION:Spacers 1 and 2 are provided between substrates 3 and 4. A filter 5 comprising a porous body is inserted between the spacers 1 and 2. On the inner side of the substrate 4, an acting electrode 4a, which is formed by fixing a plysiological active material such as glucose oxidase to the main body of the electrode comprising, e.g., platinum or the like. On the inner side of the substrate 3, a counter electrode 3d made of, e.g., a silver and silver chloride electrode and the like, is provided. When, e.g., glucose in blood is measure, a measurement obstructing material such as blood corpuscles and the like is shielded by the filter 5 and discharged to the outside through the side of the spacer 1. Only the glucose and the like, whose molecule sized are small, passes the side of the spacer 2 and are reacted with the acting electrode 4a. The current changes between the electrodes 4a and 3d. Thus the amount of the glucose can be detected highly sensitively. |
