PURPOSE:To provide the titled composition having excellent long-term weatherability, etc., and useful for the coating of ships, tanks, etc., and composed mainly of a chlorinated polyolefin having an internal plasticity and obtained by modifying a polyolefin with a reactive monomer having ethylenic unsaturated bond and an epoxy resin, etc. and chlorinating the product. CONSTITUTION:(A) a polyolefin is modified with (B) a reactive monomer having one or more ethylenic unsaturated bonds, and one epoxy group and/or hydroxyl group, carboxyl group or acid anhydride group (e.g. glycidyl methacrylate), and the obtained graft product is chlorinated with (C) e.g. a chlorination catalyst to obtain a chlorinated polyolefin having a chlorine content of 50-60wt% and having internal plasticity. The objective composition is obtained by using the above polyolefin as a main component. EFFECT:Excellent adhesivity to the base, compatibility with other resins, etc. USE:Paint for plastics, etc.
