The compressor has an adjustment slide 10 that projects through a guiding hole formed in the discharge end-wall of the compression chamber 4 and situated immediately underneath a discharge port 8 in the said end-wall. The slide has part-cylindrical surface portions for cooperation with the screw rotors not shown and is guided by an edge portion of the guiding hole.
