PURPOSE:The titled composition having improved brittleness and good impact characteristics, obtained by blending polyether imide with an olefinic copolymer of an alpha-olefin and an alpha,beta-unsaturated acid glycidyl ester. CONSTITUTION:(A) 50-99.5wt% polyether imide is blended with (B) 50-0.5wt% olefinic copolymer of an alpha-olefin and an alpha,beta-unsaturated acid glycidyl ester. A copolymer of ethylene and 1-50mol% glycidyl methacrylate is preferably used as the component B. The prepared composition may be blended with 10-60wt% glass fibers such as chopped strand obtained by bundling several hundreds - several thousands monofilaments having 5-15mu diameter and 3-8mm. length.
