PURPOSE:To detect the endoscope focusing with high accuracy, by shielding the illumination light for observation or diagnosis or blinking the illumination light source and projecting the spot light for focusing detection for a period during which no illumination light is projected to detect the reflected light of the projected spot light. CONSTITUTION:A hard endoscope 1 is provided with an inserting part 2 containing an illumination optical system and an objective optical system for observation at its tip, a control part 4 containing a light guide metal cap part 3, and an eyepiece 6. A light guide cable 7 is connected to the part 3, and the illumination light is supplied from a light source device 8. An image reforming lens 16, a photoelectric element 17 and a focusing light source 18 are distributed successively via a photographing lens 14 and a semitransparent mirror 15 within an adaptor 11 attached to the eyepiece 6. Then a focus pilot lamp 20 is set on the reflective optical axis on the rear side of the mirror 15. A control circuit 34 contains a circuit 38 to blink a light source 37. Thus the focusing light source 18 is lit up via a signal cable during the lights-out. |
