PURPOSE:To prevent the dropping of a phosphor layer and the deterioration of the quality, by measuring the viscosity variation of an injecting slurry repeatedly in a circulation system then coverting into an electric signal and holding, while adding the predetermined viscosity adjusting solution in accordance to the result of the automatic measurement of the specific gravity and maintaining the viscosity of the injection slurry. CONSTITUTION:A phosphor slurry 6 in a viscosity measuring tank 32 will flow out through an orifice 34 to lower the water level, and when the upper face level detection rod 35 is disconnected electrically from a ground detection rod 36 a measuring timer incorporated in a viscosity measuring device 27 will operate to measure the time required for the electrical disconnection between a lower level detection rod 37 and a ground rod 36. The viscosity of the phosphor slurry can be determined from the measured result (time), and the result is held until the start of the following measurement then in combination with the result from a specific gravity meter 23 the electrical decision is performed. When it is required through the electrical decision, an electrical signal is fed to a viscosity adjusting valve 38 to open it thus to feed the required amount of viscosity adjusting solution 40 from a viscosity adjusting tank 39 into an injection slurry tank. |
