Rubber compositions which are resistant to thermal aging

The invention relates to rubber compositions which are resistant to thermal aging and contain a rubber-like polymer, diphenylamine, a diphenylamine derivative, phenol and/or a phenol derivative as anti-aging agent for the rubber-like polymer, and a polyalkylene glycol or a polyalkylene glycol derivative having a mean molecular weight of from 100 to 5000, and optionally a compound of the formula <IMAGE> in which R = C10- to C20-alkyl. The anti-aging agent is preferably chemically bonded to the rubber-like polymer as part of the molecule chain. The rubber compositions according to the invention have unexpectedly superior resistance to thermal aging compared with compositions which comprise only the rubber-like polymer and the anti-aging agent or only the rubber-like polymer and the polyalkylene glycol.
