Combined rudder and trim plane device intended for boats, preferably propeller-driven motorboats where the rudder consists of at least one rudder blade fixedly mounted to an axle, the rotation of which forces the rudder blade to perform a corresponding or related movement. The rudder blade co-operates with a trim plane wing 8. The trim plane wing is in turn united with a shaft 9 so that the trim plane wing may be imparted 13, 10, 11 an adjustment corresponding to a desired degree of trim. The trim plane wing 8 is placed between two rudder blades 4, 5, and its rudder blades 4, 5 are swingable around a vertical or essentially vertical shaft 6, while the trim plane wing 8 is tiltable around a horizontal or essentially horizontal axis 9. The vertical shaft 6 is situated between, preferably halfway between, the two rudder blades 4, 5, and the horizontal axis 9 extends though the vertical shaft 6. The shaft 6 is hollow and in the hole, a rod 10 extends, one end of which cooperates with a part 11, which is able to actuate the trim plane wing. The shaft 6 is made with a slit 6a through which the part 11 actuating the trim plane wing extends, one portion 11a of said part being immovably fixed to the shaft 6 and the other portion 11b of said part being connected to the trim plane wing 8 in a swingable manner. <IMAGE> |
