<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a thermosetting resin aqueous solution suitable as water resistance-imparting agent and ink printability-enhancing agent for coating composition for enamel paper, by synthesizing a polyureapolyamide and then by reaction between it and formaldehyde in an acidic aqueous solution. CONSTITUTION:First, a deammoniation is carried out between A) urea, and B) a polyalkylenepolyamine such as triethylenetetramine followed by dehydration- condensation with (C) a dibasic carboxylic acid such as adipic acid, and further carrying out deammoniation with urea to obtain a polyureapolyamide. The resulting polyureapolyamide is made to react, in an aqueous solution, with D) formaldehyde in an acidic condition, or in an alkaline condition and then in an acidic condition, thus obtaining the objective aqueous solution. EFFECT:Giving little formaldehyde odor when applied to enamel paper.</p> |
