On reverse jet gas filters spurious air ingress into the bag during the cleaning operation is prevented by a conical cap. This fits around the venturi throat of the reverse jet. It rests on a lip and seals the top the filter bag. When the air jet operates, the cap is pressed down against the edge of the bag. When the pulse is finished, then the air flow through the bag resumes and the cap lifts to allow the air out. The cap acts rather like a non-return valve. Used on reverse jet gas or air filters. Design prevents the ingress of uncontrolled amts. of sec. air during back flushing without interfering with the main air flow.
