PURPOSE:To provide the above recording material having high sensitivity and excellent in image stability by using one of a diphenylsulfone compound and a diphenyl acetate compound as a coupler forming a color at the time of the contact with a leuco dye under heating and using a specific dibenzyl oxalate derivative as a sensitizer. CONSTITUTION:As a coupler forming a color at the time of the contact with a leuco dye under heating, at least one compound selected from a diphenylsulfone compound and a diphenyl acetate compound is used and, as a sensitizer, a dibenzyl oxalate derivative represented by formula (1) (wherein R1 and R2 is H, a 1-4C alkyl group, halogen, an OH group or the like) is used. As the diphenylsulfone compound, bisphenol S, tetrabromobisphenol S and bis-(3- allyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)sulfone (m.p.; 151-152 deg.C) are designated and, as the diphenyl acetate compound, methyl bis(4-bydroxyphenyl)acetate and benzyl acetate (m.p.; 111-112 deg.C) are designated. The leuco dye is adapted alone or in a mixed state. |
