<p>Concentrated storage-stable sugar beet juice for sugar industry is prepd. by heating crude non-purified sugar beet juice to 85-120 degrees C adding HCHO before or during heating (pref. in concn. depending on infectious germs in juice and also juice temp.) vaporising mixture in high velocity partial rotation system to expel HCHO, and basifying thick syrup to pH 8.5. Pref. conc. sugar beet juice is stored away from air.</p> |
