The carrier material is impregnated with a synthetic resin, and with the resin in a hard condition is fed with interleaved plastic film into a shaper to induce the approximate shape of the press form. By processing 1m lengths of 1/4-1/6 the length of the press with dwell times of 1/2-1/3 the melting time of the resin, lengths of electrical insulation material, in precise profiles, can be produced with consistent electrical and mechanical properties along its length. |
