<p>PURPOSE:To achieve a control of an air separator also serving as the extraction of argon simply and properly. CONSTITUTION:A nitrogen recirculation conduit 311 is provided with a control valve 32a to adjust a recirculation of nitrogen depending on the opening thereof and a lower column 31 is provided with a temperature indicating control meter 31a which is so arranged to detect the temperature of a liquid air stored at a bottom part thereof so that a control signal is transmitted for the control valve 32a to set the opening thereof based on the results of the detection. When the temperature of the liquid air is lower than a preset temperature, a control signal is transmitted to increase the opening of the control valve 32a from the temperature reading control meter 31a. When the temperature of the liquid air is higher than the preset temperature, the control signal is transmitted to the control valve 32a to reduce the opening thereof from the temperature reading control meter 31a. Thus, the temperature of the liquid air is kept constant as stored in the bottoms part of the lower column 31.</p> |
