PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical image processing apparatus with which image processing and image display having higher real-time properties than ever before can be executed: and to provide a control method for the apparatus.SOLUTION: A medical image diagnostic apparatus includes a real time controller, a graphic processing unit, and a central processing unit executing a prescribed operating system and a prescribed application. The real-time controller is connected to a memory in the graphic processing unit, performs each of actions so as to be asynchronous with the central processing unit, acquires image data from the medical image diagnostic apparatus and transmits the image data and at least one parameter used for a prescribed processing relating to the image data to the memory of the graphic processing unit. The graphic processing unit executes the prescribed processing relating to the image data on the basis of at least one parameter from the real time controller and instruction independently transmitted from the central processing unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1A |
