摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air-fuel ratio controller of an internal combustion engine capable of unifying an air fuel ratio of each cylinder with high accuracy by preventing the increase of the CPU operation load and the influence such as the variation of an operating condition. SOLUTION: This air fuel ratio controller comprises an air fuel ratio detecting time setting means 22 for setting an air-fuel ratio detecting time T including all exhaust strokes of each cylinder, a peak phase detecting means 21 taking an output value lambda of an air fuel ratio sensor 8 during the air fuel ratio detecting time, and detecting the peak phase P lambda to be maximized at a rich side or a lean side by the variation of the air fuel ratio, an air fuel ratio correcting cylinder discriminating means 25 for specifying the cylinder as an object of the correction of the air fuel ratio on the basis of the peak phase, and means for correcting the air fuel ratio by cylinders 31-34 for correcting the amount of fuel of the cylinder as the object of the correction of the air fuel ratio, and the cylinder having the air fuel ratio different from that of the other cylinders is specified as an object of the correction of the fuel amount on the basis of the variation of the output value of the air-fuel ratio sensor.
