A brake control method for a two-wheeled motor vehicle, which reliably prevents the rear wheel from lifting again immediately after its landing on the ground. When the completion of an output of a detection signal according to detection of lifting of the rear wheel is determined (S102), brake pressure is reduced, or more particularly, a pressure increase gradient of wheel cylinder pressure of the front wheel is reduced. The reduced gradient is held until it is determined that vehicle body deceleration is below a predetermined value (K1)(S108, S110). By this, re-lifting of the rear wheel caused by an increase in brake pressure at a steep pressure increase gradient after the rear wheel lands on the ground can be reliably prevented. ® KIPO & WIPO 2009
