Method of manufacturing a metal tank (vessel) including the use of a substantially cylindrical corrugated tube (1), the troughed external parts of which are provided with a reinforcing element (3), there is placed, inside the corrugated tube (1), an internal metal sheath with mean plastic extension including two ends (8, 9) separated by a cylindrical zone, the length of which is equal to the length of the corrugated tube (1), and which is provided with at least one opening or at least one of its ends. There is placed around the assembly thus formed, a tube (12) preventing longitudinal buckling, then the tank is formed by exerting a longitudinal pressure on the internal sheath (7).
