PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a computer and a control method and a control program thereof that provide a game capable of raising a sense of belonging to a group for each player, and motivating the player to participate in a group event.SOLUTION: A method controls a computer that includes a storage unit for storing information on a plurality of players and progresses a game according to an instruction from a player to execute: a step for classifying the plurality of players into a plurality of groups; a step to progress a first event that each player plays independently of the group; a step to progress a second event that a plurality of players belonging the same group play in cooperation with each other; and a step to grant a privilege to one player which is advantageous for progressing the second event by the group to which the one player belongs according to a result of play of the one player in the first event.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
