PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sofa bed which can be used as a bed by superposing a backrest on the top of a seat part so as to minimize a backward projecting size from the seat part. SOLUTION: Regarding the sofa bed, a seat part 4 is fixed to a frame 3, both the right and left side parts of which are supported by legs 2, and the backrest 5 is provided at the rear end of the seat part 4 so as to be turned between a standing position of standing at the rear position of the seat part 4 and a fallen position where its front surface abuts on the upper surface of the seat part 4 and a rear surface is nearly horizontal.
