PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily obtain a treating block which can quickly raise or lower temperature to improve treating efficiency and electric power saving, can prevent the thermal stress breakage of a thermomodule to enhance durability (life), and has a uniform high quality. SOLUTION: This DNA amplifier is characterized in that the treating block 2 comprises a substrate portion 5 made by adhering an upper substrate portion 6 comprising a metal material M to a lower substrate portion 7 comprising the metal material M or a ceramic material E, and a cell portion C supported on the substrate portion 5; the cell portion C is fixed to the upper substrate portion 6 and/or the lower substrate portion 7 through a cell-positioning portion 6s disposed on the upper substrate portion 6 and used for positioning at least the cell portion C; the thickness Ld of a site Xc positioned below at least the cell portion C in the lower substrate portion 7 is selected within a range of≤1.0 (mm); and the lower side of the substrate portion 5 is brought into contact with the thermomodule 3.
