A method for processing a deferred message includes a process for storing the deferred message, a process for notifying the deferred message and a process for the obtaining deferred message. During the process for storing the deferred message, the system stores the deferred message transmitted to a user when the user presets to require storing the deferred message; during the process for notifying the deferred message, when the instant message IM server which a client belongs to stores the deferred message of the user after the user is online, the system transmits the deferred message notification to the client according to the setting of the system or the setting of subscribing the deferred message notification of the user; during the process for obtaining the deferred message, the IM server that the client belongs to transmits the content of the deferred message to the client after the client receives the deferred message notification and requests for obtaining the deferred message. The present invention improves the method for processing the deferred message in SIP/SIMPLE instant message service system. |
