PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of an automatic assembly apparatus, in which an assembly robot has a plurality of hands and works on a plurality of work benches, that when the assembly robot moves between work benches, the assembly robot has to be moved to a position where an interference object on a moving path can be avoided.SOLUTION: An automatic assembly apparatus comprises: an assembly robot having XY axis moving means having a plurality of hands of different heights and movable in a horizontal direction; and a plurality of work bench units, each having a work bench and Z axis moving means able to move the work bench in a vertical direction. The apparatus has control means that, before the assembly robot reaches above the work bench, raises in advance the work bench by the Z axis moving means to the position where the work bench does not interfere with a hand.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
