PURPOSE:To obviate a strain removal work and prevent the occurrence of a crack after welding by cutting rounded V-notches symmetrically at both ends of a steel plate, forming corrugations on the steel plate via a pressing process and the welding the notched part. CONSTITUTION:Rounded V-notches 2 are cut at equal intervals on both ends of a steel plate 1 as the first work process. Then, as the second work process, a corrugation 3 is extrusion molded between the opposing notches 2 and 2 of the steel plate 1. As a result, the notches 2, 2 close and the closed notches 2, 2 are welded as the third work process. According to the aforesaid processes, cutting and connecting work after pressing can be all eliminated and a manday required for processing is substantially reduced. And the reduction rate of plate thickness is about 5% or less and the occurrence of strain hardly takes place. Also, the bent part of the steel plate 1 as processed is free from the occurrence of a crack due to a vibration.
