<p>PURPOSE:To hold always an engine safely at a predetermined output by varying the effective sectional area of an exhaust bypass path of a turbine on the basis of the output signal from an engine output sensor for detecting the output of the engine. CONSTITUTION:In the running condition of an engine having low output torque, the output voltage of an engine torque meter 32 is lower than the reference voltage, and in the running condition of low engine temperature the output voltage of a thermistor 30 is lower than the reference voltage so that an exhaust bypass valve 29 is closed by the output of a bypass control unit 33. In the running condition of the engine having high output torque, when the deflagnation of the engine 19 becomes excessive, the output voltage of the engine torque meter 32 becomes higher than the reference voltage to open the exhaust bypass valve 29 so that a part of exhaust gas passes through an exhaust bypass path 27.</p> |
