In order to eliminate image defects produced by high-energy particles passing through an image sensor, with signal scrolling and integration, the method involves upstream detection, on the digital values supplied by the pixels of a same row having successively observed a same scene point. Said detection makes it possible to ignore or correct the values from corrupted pixels in the establishment of the digital signal representing the luminance of an observed scene point. The detection is based on calculating the difference between a first digital value Pi,a(t1) and a second digital value Pi,b(t2) provided by two pixels Ρχi,a and Pxi,b having observed the same scene point, subtracting the second value from the first, and comparing it to a predefined threshold k. If said difference is greater than the threshold, the first value is too high, and the first value is ignored in the summation ∑'i carried out in order to establish the luminance of the scene point, said value being replaced with the second value with which it has been compared. In one alternative, the first value is replaced with an average value; or is excluded from the calculation. |
