Disclosed in the present invention is an overhead grinding device which can stably and efficiently perform overhead grinding work without great efforts of a worker. The overhead grinding device comprises: a bogie unit having a lift main body where wheels are installed in the lower part thereof in order to move from the ground; a grinding unit which is installed in the bogie unit by including a grinder at one side for performing grinding work in order to operate at least with a single-degree-of-freedom, and a handle extended from the grinder toward a worker in order to be gripped by the worker; and a control unit which operates the grinder in the grinding unit at least unilaterally by the control of the worker. Therefore, the worker can conveniently move to a work position by controlling the bogie unit through the control unit formed in a remote controller shape. The movement of the grinder is free by including a universal ball joint. The handle provides a lever function so that the worker can conduct grinding work with a small force and without excessively raising the hands. The worker can easily conduct grinding work by regulating the height of a seat. In addition, the overhead grinding device can prevent muscular skeletal diseases and ensure safe work for the worker by buffering great repulsive power applying to the grinder.
