PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption consumed in data reception processing while guaranteeing operation of an entire system.SOLUTION: A communication device is able to operate in a first mode of not reducing power consumption or a second mode of reducing power consumption, and communicates with another device via a network. The communication device comprises: a control unit for controlling switching between the first mode and the second mode on the basis of a parameter indicating a network utilization state; and a notification unit for notifying the other communication device of control contents by the control unit.
