PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an LED lamp which enables the rise in the light extraction efficiency from a sealing resin into the air by forming asperities on the surface of the sealing resin.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing an LED lamp comprises the steps of: first, coating an LED chip 11 with an electromagnetic wave curable liquid resin L to cover the LED chip 11, provided that the liquid resin will be cured to make a sealing resin 30; then, putting a shield mask 40 over a surface of the liquid resin L, provided that the shield mask 40 includes discrete transmission portions 41 which allow electromagnetic waves w to pass therethrough, and portions other than the transmission portions 41 which shut out electromagnetic waves w rather than allow them to pass therethrough; subsequently, applying electromagnetic waves w having passed through the transmission portions 41 to the surface of the liquid resin L, whereby the electromagnetic waves w are applied to only predetermined discrete portions p in the surface of the liquid resin L at a time to facilitate the curing of the liquid resin in the predetermined discrete portions p concurrently; and next, curing the whole liquid resin L, whereby asperities are formed on the surface of the sealing resin 30. |
