Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for intermediating emergency situation information. In a method for an emergency situation information intermediation server to intermediate emergency situation information, a method for intermediating emergency situation information includes the steps of: receiving first emergency situation information from a first user terminal - the first user terminal generates one of an image photographed by a first user to witness first emergency situation, text information written by the first user and current position information of the first user terminal as the first emergency situation information -; transmitting the first emergency situation information to a second user terminal located at a first intermediation zone set in advance in correspondence to the region where the first user terminal is located; receiving second emergency situation information corresponding to the first emergency situation information from the second user terminal - the second user terminal generates one of an image photographed by a second user to witness second emergency situation corresponding to the first emergency situation, text information written by the second user and current position information of the second user terminal as the second emergency situation information -; and transmitting the second emergency situation information to a third user terminal located at a second intermediation zone set in advance in correspondence to the region where the second user terminal is located. The method for intermediating emergency situation information of the present invention has the effect of informing corresponding situation between mobile communication terminals of normal users in real-time in case a criminal runs aways after a crime occurs, or a natural disaster occurs and is reported.
