The procedure uses a non-volatile data-program-memory (FLASH) which is sub-divided into an active (SB-A) and a transfer memo area (SB-T). The active memory area stores a predetermined number of language specific data sets (SK), ready for the unit. A part-memory area (SB-L) is set up ready to store further language specific data sets. A language specific data set to be set up loaded from external data storage into the transfer memory area. After the loading is complete the data is copied into the part-memory area. In a first step the data to be loaded is loaded into a volatile memory (RAM) in the communication unit (PBX). In second step it is loaded from the RAM to the transfer memory locatio The loading is performed in steps, after the correct completion of a step; the loaded or copied data is given validity identification. |
