PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pump unit that require neither securing an installation space for a pump nor designing for each size of pipes even if the pipes are conventional standardized pipes, and to provide a method for transporting a fluid.SOLUTION: The pump unit to be installed inside a flow path for transporting a fluid, comprises: a plurality of expansion bodies disposed in an extending direction of the flow path, expanded and contracted inside the flow path to press the fluid by volumetric change relative to the flow path in association with the expansion and contraction; and expansion control means for expanding and contracting the plurality of expansion bodies sequentially by feeding a fluid into the expansion bodies. |
