PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a mildew-proofing tatami facing, which effectively prevents generation of mold due to spores existing inside rush grass and generation of mold due to spores attached to the surface of a tatami facing during use of a tatami.SOLUTION: In a treatment with a mildew-proofing agent, the mildew-proofing agent is attached to or impregnated in a tatami facing. After the treatment, the mildew-proofing agent is dried. After completion of drying of the mildew-proofing agent, the tatami facing is rolled and packed in a cardboard box. The tatami facing packed in the cardboard box is directly placed in a container for γ-ray radiation and radiated with γ-rays. The unpacked tatami facing is directly shipped to a customer. |
