PURPOSE: A recliner of a vehicle seat is provided to improve the engagement efficiency between a sector tooth and a pole tooth by preventing the engagement of gears from being partially located in between an inner and an outer gear unit when a load is added forwards or backwards. CONSTITUTION: A recliner(1) of a vehicle seat comprises a sector tooth(3), a plate holder, a cam plate(7), and a plurality of pole tooth(9). The sector tooth comprises an external body of the recliner and includes an inner gear unit(15). The plate holder finishes the sector tooth by being connected to an opening side of the housing shaped sector tooth. The cam plate locks or releases the sector tooth by being pressurized to the pole tooth or by being separated from the pole tooth. The pole tooth rotates or stops the sector tooth according to the operation of the cam plate and comprises a body(91) and a movable piece(93). The body touches the cam plate and is pressurized or is separated by the cam plate. The movable piece is connected externally in a radial direction of the body and includes an outer gear unit(17) in the outer periphery. |
