<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain excellent ozone generation characteristic in a silent discharge type ozone generator including a high voltage electrode, a grounding electrode, a dielectric and a void part. <P>SOLUTION: In this silent discharge type ozone generator including the dielectric whose one surface is provided on a high voltage electrode, and the grounding electrode placed side by side through the void part on the other surface of the dielectric, a voltage is applied between the high voltage electrode and the grounding electrode, to thereby generate ozone in raw material gas circulated into the void part. In the ozone generator not containing lead and having excellent ozone generation characteristic, such a dielectric glass electrode is used that a dielectric glass composition thereof comprises, in terms of the weight ratio, 20-50% SiO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>, 20-50% B<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>, 5-20% Na<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O or K<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O (one kind or mixture), and 5-30% BaO, SrO or CaO (one kind or mixture). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
