<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automated warehouse that prevents an article in a shelf from being contaminated when there is no space for discharging air on the upper part in a travelling space. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of shelves 22 are disposed along the travelling space of a conveyance device 12, and an air supply path for supplying a clean gas from the back surface side of the shelves 22 to the travelling space side, and a first exhaust path from below the travelling space are disposed. Further, a second exhaust path is disposed on an upper part of the travelling space. For example, clean air is used and nitrogen gas etc. is also preferably used as the clean gas.
