<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system in which information about the number of pages of print data, or the like, held in a spooler is transmitted from a host device to a printing apparatus by any other means than communication means for the print data, thereby displaying a printing waiting list on the printing apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A host device has first transmitting means for transmitting print data to a printing apparatus via a spooler, and second transmitting means for transmitting job list information of the print data and registration job print data to the printing apparatus. The printing apparatus has first receiving means for receiving the print data transmitted from the first transmitting means, second receiving means for receiving the job list information and the registration job print data transmitted from the second transmitting means, and job list creation/display means for creating/displaying a job list based on the job list information and the registration job print data received from the second receiving means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
