<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-dimensional code reader which is suitable for recognizing information by reading a two-dimensional code in which an information amount is sufficiently secured while preventing flexibility of layout from being deteriorated compared with the conventional case. <P>SOLUTION: An image area to be indicated by the two-dimensional code is specified from an image, colors of each mark attached to cells in the two-dimensional code are specified from the image area, after that, each piece of information corresponding to colors of one or more cells specified in this way or combination of colors is specified based on a data base, and information composed of each of information is recognized as information to be indicated by the two-dimensional code (s230-s290). When the image area to be indicated by the two-dimensional code is specified from the image, a pattern for specifying a position of the two-dimensional code is extracted, and the image area of the whole two-dimensional code is specified using an area in which the pattern is formed as a predetermined cell constituting the two-dimensional code (s230). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
