<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the detection accuracy in image processing for detecting an object from an image. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This image processor for detecting an object from an image has an object detection section 2 comprising: a first discriminating apparatus 21 that performs learning using, as a teacher image, a plurality of images obtained by capturing a first region included in the object, and determines the object using the learning result; and a second discriminating apparatus 22 that performs learning, as a teacher image, a plurality of images obtained by capturing a second region different from the first region included in the object, and determines the object using the learning result. The object detection section 2, based on the contrast of a specific one of the objects, selects a discriminating apparatus appropriate for detection of the specific object from the first discriminating apparatus 21 and the second discriminating apparatus 22, and detects the object from the image using the selected discriminating apparatus.
