PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion pressure sensor having excellent detection accuracy and durability and manufacturable at low cost. SOLUTION: This combustion pressure sensor 1 comprises: a hollow housing 2 so installed on an internal combustion engine that the front end thereof is positioned on the combustion chamber 61 side; a transmission member 3 which is slidably inserted into the shaft hole 22 of the housing 2 so that a front end pressure receiving part 31 is exposed from the front end of the housing 2 and which transmits a combustion pressure in a combustion chamber 61; a load detection part 4 which is disposed between the housing 2 and the transmission member 3 and which detects a variation in the load acting between the housing 2 and the transmission member 3; and a seal member 5 for closing the gap 11 between the housing 2 and the transmission member 3. The housing 2 comprises a fixing function part 24 having a fastening part 241 for fixing the housing to the internal combustion engine and a sealing function part 25 for attaching the seal member 5. The fixing function part 24 and the sealing function part 25 are so connected to each other at the connection part 26 that the axial extensions thereof are not restricted relative to each other.
