PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nuclear power plant treating a combustible gas leaking into the outside space of a reactor containment vessel even in a failure of a power supply. SOLUTION: In this BWR plant 1, static combustible gas treatment apparatuses 16a-16e are arranged in a reactor building 13 outside the reactor containment vessel 3. The static combustible gas treatment apparatus 16a is arranged in a room 22 in which a pipe 20 penetrating the reactor containment vessel 3 is installed, and the static combustible gas treatment apparatuses 16b and 16c are arranged in a reactor well 14. The static combustible gas treatment apparatus 16d is arranged in a room 25 in which an equipment carrying-in hatch 17 is arranged, and the static combustible gas treatment apparatus 16e is arranged in a room 24 in which a suction port of a suction duct 23 is arranged. The static combustible gas treatment apparatuses 16a-16e treat the combustible gas (H<SB>2</SB>, O<SB>2</SB>) leaking from the reactor containment vessel 3 into the reactor well 14 and rooms 22, 24 and 25 in a loss of coolant accident.
