<p>A dye-sensitized solar cells having an electron recombination protection layer and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to prevent the first conductive substrate from being contacted with the oxidation/deoxidization electrolyte. A dye-sensitized solar cells includes the first conductive substrate(110); an electron recombination barrier layer(112) which covers the first conductive substrate in order not to expose the surface of the first conductive substrate to an electrolyte layer; a porous metal oxide semiconductor layer(114) formed on the electron recombination barrier layer; a dye molecule layer(116) which is attached on the surface of the porous metal oxide semiconductor layer. The electron recombination barrier layer is made of metal or the metal oxide.</p>
