<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medal engraving mechanism in a printing block forming machine which can enhance the added value of a medal to be let out, by additionally engraving a date, a serial number and so forth on the reverse of the medal on which print has been transcribed by the printing block forming machine. <P>SOLUTION: The medal engraved on its obverse drops onto a medal guidepath 2 and slides off upside down. An engraving section descends onto the medal stowed on the bottom of a medal engraving box 8 by means of an engraving mechanism driving section 28, so that the serial number and so forth are engraved. Then a medal extruding section 26 sticks up, so that the medal engraved with the serial number and so forth slides off on a medal let-off passage 9 and is let out of a medal issuing port. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
