NEW MATERIAL:A compound shown by formula I {Z is group shown by formula VI [R<1> and R<2> are H, alkenyl, ar(lower)alkyl, etc.], group shown by formula V (R<5> is lower alkyl) or group shown by formula VI; R<3> is H, (lower alkyl- or lower alkoxy-substituted)aryl, etc.; R<4> is H, lower alkyl or (lower alkoxy- substituted)alkyl, etc.], etc.; Y is =O, =S, =N-R<6> [R<6> is lower alkyl, cyclo(lower)alkyl, etc.], etc.; with the proviso that R<4> is lower alkyl, etc., when R<3> is H} and a salt thereof. EXAMPLE:3, 4-Dihydro-6-( 3,4-dimethoxyphenyl )-1, 3-dimethyl-4-(2,4,6-trimethoxy phenylimino)-2(1H)-pyrimidinone. USE:A drug useful as cardiac, hypotensor, cerebrovascular vasodilator and inhibitor of blood platelet aggregation. PREPARATION:A compound shown by formula II is reacted with a compound shown by formula III in an organic solvent preferably in the presence of an acid under a dehydrating condition to give a compound shown by formula I wherein Z is group shown by formula IV and Y is O. |
