<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that receives a detection signal with high accuracy, while detection jitters due to electric chattering is suppressed, and performs high printing position control and positional shift correction control. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: a reference position sensor; a receiving device 51, which receives the detection signal of the reference position detection sensor, samples it a plurality of times, makes the sampled signal into digital data and outputs digital data; a shift register 54 which inputs the digital data output from the receiving device in order; a decision device 52, which decides that the receiving device has received a reference position detection signal, when the digital data received from the receiving device shows a predetermined state; and a reporting device 55 which reports the reference position signal reception, on the basis of the data output from the shift register and a decision signal output from the decision device. The reporting device that reports the reference position signal reception with a timing, when the data from the shift register become data corresponds to a reference position detection signal for the first time, after the reception of the decision signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
