A shock absorbable steering column for a vehicle is provided to reducing the number of parts and working processes by changing more than one bending plate formed on a mounting bracket. A shock absorbable steering column for a vehicle comprises a mounting bracket(330), a plate bracket(380), and guide bolts(310). The mounting bracket consists of more than one guide hole(333) locking the collapse direction in collision with more than one bending plate(335) absorbing energy through self-transformation in collision of the vehicle. The plate bracket assembled to the mounting bracket is collapsed with a column in collision. The guide bolts lock the collapse direction in collision of the vehicle and support the mounting bracket and the plate bracket.
