<p>A gradual linking method for an embedded system is provided to adjust the positions of object files during a link process for developing software for the embedded system so as to reduce a link time. Components which enable gradual linking for an embedded system include an object-to-section mapper(204) for generating an object file list to be included in each section, an object locator(206) for re-arranging the positions of object files included in each section, and a symbol table manager(214) for adding, deleting and updating symbol data information which refers to object files included in the section. The components further include a symbol reserver(208) for receiving the symbol data information from the symbol table manager and updating symbol data information to which the rearranged object files refer, and a linked binary generator(210) for generating a binary created for each section as one linked binary.</p> |
