<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently form an image on continuous paper while restraining wasted paper to the minimum. <P>SOLUTION: When wasted paper saving mode is set in the image forming apparatus using the continuous paper as recording material, a mark (hereinafter called "temporary correction mark") showing that it is the image output in the midst of temporal correction of out-of-registration is formed on the continuous paper together with respective color images until deviation between the forming position of an image position recognition pattern and its ideal position attains a first allowable value after it becomes a second allowable value or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
